Olympic Sculpture Park

I took Mom and Dad to visit one of Seattle's new parks... the Olympic Sculpture park. It's not quite up to the Walker's standards but it's a work in progress. Overall, impressive!

Staycation

With my Dad off at a writing trip in the north cascades, Jill Dawn and I seized the opportunity to have a girls weekend with mom. ("Staycation" as Kirk liked to call it). We picked blackberries, ate, and watched six hours of "Pride and Prejudice". It was lovely.

the teanaway revisted

Labor day weekend I convinced Mary and Eric to come back to the teanaway with me. I hadn't made it to see a rock formation called volcanic neck on my hike with natasha and I was curious. Luckily, the rain on the west side didn't follow us to the east and we had a very pleasant hike up the beverly turnpike trail with a jaunt up the county line trail to views of the enchantments and volcanic neck! (i just like the name but if your curious about volcanic necks you can learn all about 'em here)
